We've seen it in Star Trek but do you think teleportation will ever be possible?
ALSO, isn't teleportation muder? Let me justify... When Captain Kirk teleports, he basically has himself vaporised and then regenerated on a different part of the Starship Enterprise. Isn't this a completely different person who is just implanted with the now vaporised Kirk's memory and personality?

I read somewhere that scientists in Germany were able to teleport molecules about half a meter distance.
So yeah, i think its possible.

Teleportation is necessary, for Hiro Nakamura. How else would he "Save the cheerleader, save the world"?
I believe it is possible. We just haven't invented a way to realize it, yet.
As for whether it is right, I have mixed opinions.

Scientifically speaking, you actually can teleport but we will probably not live long enough to see it done. To the extent that you see in Star Trek anyway.

I don't see this as a necessity to every day life.
and i don't think we should. to many creepy people out there would use it to like teleport into peoples houses, or bank vaults, or off a murder scene etc etc. PLUS with everybody teleporting and nobody walking the obesity issue would sky rocket...
... As you can see I think to much

I think they managed to do it but certainly not with a human. Probably just an object.

Real teleporting would only be possible if you had 2 connected devices so direct teleporting in someone's home is not possible though way after something like that is discovered they will be able to do it with only one device but it wouldn't be usefull because the energy needed is too great as you need to make a rip in space that connects from the device to the person and get that person through the wormhole ithout damaging him/her as for the vaporising thing well..if it is possible then you would still be the same person you would just have been dead for a few seconds
