I loved both of these books. Which did you like more?

Poicture of Dorian Gray.
1984 put me to sleep.  George Orwell makes me want to kill myself in general though.

I haven't read the first one, but I hated 1984--I just couldn't get into it.

1984. Just exploring the ideas and applying them to modern society made the read worth it. It was a good read too.

That's a pretty big jump. I haven't read 2 books, so therefore I don't read? Maybe my taste in books is different than yours. Maybe out the billions of books I have yet to find these. I read quite frequently, and have heard of 1984. I don't like Orwell, so I never read it. And do you honestly expect people to wade through a veritable sea of literature just to compare 2 random books? I don't think so.

Generalization bugs me. Sorry for flipping out.

This is it. This is your story. It all begins here
I wanted to change the world, too. But I changed nothing. That is my story

I loved 1984. It is one of my all time favorites as of right now.

I think it's ironic how Orwells ideas can be seen in our reality today.
