I dunno, something just irks me when I see a mother, and their hair is lookin' nice, they have on the top brands of clothes, nails done, toes done, the works.

But yet their baby is following them around in the store with just a thin onesie and some sandals.

That irks my nerve when I see babies walking around in public half naked.  My niece is one year old, and whenever she goes ANYWHERE, her mama and my brother make sure she looks top shape.

but i also understand what you're saying. maybe parents don't see a reason to dress their children too well because they're messy and stuff..i dunno.

There's a difference between looking good and at least looking halfway decent.

Children deserve to look decent, even if they don't know it. A child's appearance reflects upon the parents

That's as arbitrary as saying they deserve a pelican. They don't care.

And it only reflects badly on their parents because you choose to see it that way. If I saw a scruffy looking kid, I'd be impressed that the parents weren't stupid enough to spend a fortune on designer kiddie clothes that they'd grow out of in a month.
