But anti-depressants don't work any better than placebos for most people that are on them. You'd be better off seeing a therapist and making changes in your life than altering the chemistry of your brain. Starting with the relationship between your mother and you sounds like a good place to start :\

Yes, great counseling methods! You're just suffering from depression, you're just too lazy to make something of yourself? That is entirely counterproductive and asinine for you to have said.

I think what he meant, was what I've been saying about how being dependant on medication is not the way forward. It's been proved that you can fight depression, so this boy's/girl's mum just wants to see her trying something else, like therapy or counselling, instead of popping the pills.

wow...being happy is a privalage? its a medication, your mom deserves to be put in prison for taking away a needed mediaction.

Its more of not being suicidal is a privilege apparently in her eyes, and while they can be dangerous mine actually helped me, at least enough to keep me out of the psych ward.
