Hey, I've posted here because I found no other topic that was suitable, and really needed help with this subject.
I also didn't want a couple of childish idiots posting stuff they did not know about as this needs a 100% correct response.

So recently someone that I know was charged for theft, 3 accounts of theft over $5000, and one of theft under $500.

Many people have started saying that this person was innocent and would not do such a thing.

I live in Oshawa, Ontario (In case the law varies on region)

Now my question was, legally, can that workplace press charges on this individual, IF THEY DID NOT HAVE PROOF THAT THE INDIVIDUAL STOLE THE MONEY.

Because I have been educated that the only way to press charges is to have proof that the individual who's being accused of the crime has actually committed the crime.

So my question really is,
Can they actually press charges upon her if she is really innocent?
