how do our actions change the balance of gasses in our atmosphere?

well let's take co2 for example.. there wasn't so much in the atmosphere 200 years ago.. and the artic ice wasn't melting this fast.. when the industries came around, the co2 production went up.. and 'we be burning' soon

Not true, 1940 to 1975 saw the post war industrial revolution in the biggest nations in the world (ie U.S, canada etc.) and the data clearly shows that the average temperature worldwide actually went down during that period... The planet isn't changing because of us, in fact it's NEVER stopped changing and the melting of the polar ice caps is just one of those changes taking place...

ooh? when in the history of the earth did the sea level go this high? i dunno where you get your info from, but the global warming shit is for real.. don't you think katherina for example was caused by us? come to this country and you will see how bad water levels are climbing.. look at how fucked up the seasons are becoming.. and you still don't believe the gasses we are producing at abnormal rates has something to do with it.. you sound like a very ignorant person

First off, we're neighbours so it's not like I have to travel to 'your country' to see the rising sea levels... Besides, the sea level may have never been this high in recent history (aka past couple thousands of years) but that doesn't mean that it's never been this high. And for god's sake man, don't call me ignorant just because I don't believe blindly in what's perhaps the most overused theory of all time... do you even know how the theory came about?

So, like I said, the world is changing but that DOESN'T mean it's us that's causing the change... Ignorant my fucking ass, look at it in perspective bro, the planet is not 2008 years old and just because it hasn't been recorded in the past doesn't mean it never happened.

MAN MADE global warming is bs. Global warming however, is real.

There are many other factors that affect global climate. Concentration of CO2 is one of many. Scientists can take into account pretty much all the variables and have concluded that rising atmospheric CO2 concentrations is impacting global climate temperatures.

You, however, cannot.

Except that none of the models presented hold true  over even the next five years.  So no, scientists cannot as of yet do what you claim they can.  Within the last year scientists found out they underestimated certain factors by several magnitudes.  Science is the process of finding the truth but its a mistake to think that on any given point in that journey that the truth is known - if it was known there wouldn't be any more scientific work in the area.

As far as for CO2 sampling data there exist only a few dozen sampling sites across the globe and they exist only in areas where they predicted high CO2 concentrations - not exactly the model for a global estimate for the average CO2 density.

Source?

Science is the process of finding the truth but its a mistake to think that on any given point in that journey that the truth is known - if it was known there wouldn't be any more scientific work in the area.

The same can be said for any area in science. What you've said is "I can't think of anything else so I'm going to resort to bland generalisations about the philosophy of science rather than tackle the real issue."

As far as for CO2 sampling data there exist only a few dozen sampling sites across the globe and they exist only in areas where they predicted high CO2 concentrations - not exactly the model for a global estimate for the average CO2 density.

So you also deny that CO2 concentrations are increasing? Stop me if I'm wrong.

Now onto your lie. The Network for the Detection of Atmospheric Composition Change alone has more than 70 stations. Check out these maps which show stations for just some of the members of the World Ozone and Ultraviolet Radiation Data Centre.

And that's just two measly organisations. They're a drop in the ocean when compared to small, independent stations combined and other organisations.

But as I'm clearly not talking to a person who's interested in climatology I'm wasting my time, consider this discussion over until you find a copy of the latest IPCC report instead of making things up.
