But I'd love to be able to be "appearing offline" to some people. So members who you select see you as "offline" when you're actually online. But of course if you posted in topics then you'd fuck up the whole point of it. meh.

Well, if you're sustainer, you can choose to "Browse Privately" - well, you used to be able to anyway, not sure if that's still the case.

That's probably the most similar thing we'll have to that for a while, but it's a good idea in theory.

Yeah, we can still do that.

"Hiding" is feature in phpbb forums. On the active members, it shows the amount of people hidden, but not who it is. It would show them on the profile as "offline."
