with any camera, check the video quality ratings. I'm not so positive on the ISight, but it's likely there are variations.

Yes, of all the embedded iSights, they are all of the same build quality and standard. They are the same ones fitted in all of them (except maybe the iMac, as it's a desktop it doesn't need to be as small to fit into the panel).
In either case, they should produce video and audio quality of the same standard.
