a month and a half doesnt seem that serious but every relationship is different. i don't think it would have been that serious if you broke up with him because you heard he was gonna break up with you. that seems kinda childish. if it was a serious relationship then you would have talked it through instead of jumping right in there!

Okay, I'm not sure if people would agree with me but: I find that things get really messy if you get into other people's relationships and can even turn you into the "awful bearer of bad news". He will break up with her soon, maybe even later today and you should definitely tell her if you think he would go behind her back to date someone else but it's his problem with their relationship. He told you as a friend and probably expects you to keep it secret. It's not your responsibility to break them up, it's your responsibility to help your friend get over him and move on.
