While i am fully supportive of the prosecution of those who, in a very cowardly fasion, brandish armaments to cause harm, the banning of such armaments from personal use is not the anwser. Criminals WILL break the law, and it is necessary to take precautions to protect yourself.

this guy claims to carry a knife because people in the area do, i dont carry a knife i dont get involved in these people in america the law of guns is different to the uk but is it still illegal to use a gun or knife in an offensive way, if you carry a knife you could possibbly use it, if like me you dont you definitley wont resort to it

That is very true, but what about women, the elderly, and the simple fact that, in most cases, karate is inefficient to deal with domestic threats? Im not sayin women cant learn karate either.
