What is it supposed to feel like?
I was prescribed Lexapro, and whenever I'm on it I feel like I'm stoned. I'm really giggly, my hunger goes up, my reaction time is about 2/3 of what it normally is, and I can feel my brain shut off. The last one may be because it was prescribed to help with an obsessive disorder as well as depression, but it's just bizarre to have lapses where there are absolutely no thoughts in my head. The experience is fun, yeah, but there is no way I could survive at school, given the experiences I've had at school high.
How do you feel when you're on an SSRI? The dose I take is minimal, 10mg a day.

Woop, it's fun to know what SSRI's are and how they actually work!

But no, I'm not on them.

I know what they do, I want to know how other people feel on them.

it's sad when a very young generation has to depend on medication to feel "happy"

I feel normal, and I'm on prozac 20mg a day, just maybe a bit less anxious and stimulated when I first take it in the morning

as both my X chromosomes come from women who tried to commit suicide, it was deemed to be more than situational depression.

Are you saying your father was a woman in behaviour (or something similar)? You don't get both your X chromosomes from the mother.

Sad that is though. It'd be nice to have a magical cure for such things.

His mother, my paternal grandmother, gave him his X chromosome.

Ah, I see that makes sense. But can you be sure?
