Some college students go through a million roommates. Other people keep the same one forever. The good news is that if you have a problem with your roommate, you can move to another room that's available. You don't have to keep them. However, the school will decide who has to move. If you have to move, just be glad you'll get away from who you are roommates with. However, to start out, give your roommate a chance. If she's a little messy and it gets on your side...just ask her politely to clean it up. If it's not on your side, even it bothers you...don't say anything. No sense in causing drama that isn't needed. Just don't go into the room and expect to rule it all and want it all clean...compromise is often a good thing to have when having a college roommate. You should only request to move if you have a serious problem and if it is an actual problem. Just don't move out because she doesn't keep her side clean.
