I prefer live music. You know... music that's live. You know music with real instruments and real people producing sound in a live fashion.

Rap/hip hop, metal, rock, jazz, blues. Just about anything but country, though I do like Johnny Cash.

I like just about everything.

My big thing right now is the Beatles, but I'll listen to anything from the Gorillaz to Eric Clapton to Guns N' Roses.

I listen to some classics, such as The Beatles, John Mayer, Eric Clapton, The Rolling Stones, etc.

My biggest love is broadway and opera.  The emotion is astounding.

I prefer a steady mix, widening my horizon from rock, classic rock, to rap r&b, anything that pleases my ears really.

Classic rock. Rush, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, et cetera. I also like older punk (70's and early 80's - not this sorry excuse for "punk" that's getting pimped by radio 1 these days) and some other stuff, but I always go back to my rock.

I don't really have one. I have a wide taste in all types of music, so I can't really choose one particular genre.

I like lots of different things. Lots of electronica, techno, drum n bass. You know, the stuff that most people raise their eyebrow at and say "It's really all the same, you know?" I never get defensive, it does sound all the same. I just have the same kind of crazy that those people do.

Largely, my taste is split down the middle between:
a) incredibly drone-based loud/soft dynamic post-rock-ish garb.
b) either rather clashy or very-fat-synthesiser-ie electro trash.

, possibly favouring the former.

If I were to make my taste better, it would likely include some more experimental tunes, a little more jazz, a fraction of blues, and a more inclusive hip-hop base.

Mostly alternative rock.

For gods sake, we haven't gotten rid of the word requirement yet?

I listen to a mixture of all the styles mentioned but my favourite genre would be the rock/ indie i suppose.

Music is also a generational thing: most people listen to similar music of our age.
