Why, why, why do people always leave Punk off these sorts of polls? Argh!

Anyways, I listen to mostly Rock, Indie and Punk.

I don't know, it's ridiculous why people disregard punk from every one of these.

having said that, I'd like to say I'd vote Punk, and I also tend to listen to Indie music my girlfriend introduced me to, as well as some more normal rock and alternative fare.

I enjoy music from the 60's and 70's.
I'm also a fan of classic rock and even some pop and country.

I favor music with brass instruments or music with guitars featured.  I tend to prefer male vocalists too, but that could be because there seem to be a lot more in the areas that I like.

I've got spurs that jingle jangle jingle.
As I go riding merrily along.
And they sing, "Oh, ain't you glad you're single?"
And that song ain't so very far from wrong.

Lately I've been listening to Pink Floyd and The Beatles a lot.

Some of Britain's best bands right there.

Do you know of any others I should try out? (I mean, as you live in England and most likely know more about the bands over there than I do.) For the record, I already listen to Muse, Radiohead, Klaxons, Kasabian, Kaiser Chiefs, and Arctic Monkeys.

Coldplay.

A few of those, but mainly electrpnically produced muziks. Namely minimal, psytrance and dubstep. I shoot fireballs out of my nipples at people who say it all sounds the same. It's far more complex than a lot of other genres.

Pretty eclectic, lots of metal and acoustic stuff. Classical and orchestral things as well, what I actually love is instrumental things, regardless of genre.

Indie music is my OTG, but I'm into some electronica, particularly the stuff that's structured more traditionally.

Emperor X is the best band in the world, the epitome of acoustic and electronic music with a beautiful voice backing it.

In other news, WHY are Rap and R&B always grouped together? Not only are they two separate genres, but rap needs also to be categorized into Rap and Hip Hop. I listen to Hip Hop, which, though Nas clearly thinks otherwise, is not yet dead.

All the good hip hop is underground. See my own site for details in the signature. Not so much a plug to get hits, but because I think people who dislike rap/hip hop will very much enjoy some of the music I promote.
