The same thing happened to me, once. What you have to remember is somethings happen that you just can't control. Next time, try placing your pencil between two things on your desk so it is less likely to fall off. You could also try tying it to your wrist with a string. Both methods have worked for me in the past. Good luck with all of your future endeavors in writing!
