so im going off to college soon and i need a laptop. i was thinking about getting a mac, but im worried about the adjustment of a whole new computer. but i really like all the features because my friend was showing me yesterday what her mac can do.

i like pc's because im familiar with them, but the mac seems so much better. do u think i could make the transition to a mac without completely regretting it once im in college all by myself?

It really isn't all that hard to switch from one platform to another. You should be able to grasp it easily.

Get a mac.

If it turns out you utterly hate it, you can always run Vista on it.

I would stay with what is familiar since you are going to be busy in college. Wait until you have a bit more time on your hands to change over.

Macs tend to have a smoother system and are really reliable while Windows has a more broad range of software available. It ultimately depends on what you are going to use it for.

i personally like macs way better.  but many programs are made to run on pcs so you have to be careful with that.  or you could just get a mac and put windows on it.

Depends what you plan on doing with the computer. If you're just typing documents, go with whatever is cheapest... probably PC. If you're going to use your computer for multimedia (music, pics, video) go with Mac.

In all reality OSX is just as user-friendly or more user-friendly than Windows. But just like any new thing it takes a bit to get used too.

the only reason to get a mac is if you're going to deal with graphics/designing/etc, otherwise it's a waste of money and your program option list goes down.

Isn't it just CNTRL+click? Or something like that.
