At all safer due to this war? I say no. People like to entertain some invisible shield protecting America fantasy but another 9/11 could happen at any moment.

We're not safe, but at the same time, we're more safer then most places. I say we're in the middle.

They have a better chance at showing a proactive response to terrorist threats and they're somewhat safer secure than 911 now.

At least in Australia we're pretty safe from the terrorist threat.  After all, what is there to bomb in Aus.

We are safer to some degree. You may not see it but cutting off terrorists funding and taking out their leaders. Theres less chance of attacks being done and being successful.

Just like in that futurama quote

"If you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all."

Just wait if another terrorist attack occurs, we will see and hear nothing but Americans or whoever was the victim of the attack searching for someones head to seek vengeance and punishment for the hurt and fear the terrorist do.

They are probably a bit less safe, but then again, they have all the security set up because of it, making them safer.

Now, Canada on the other hand.. Super safe. We've got America to cover our backs.

A land invasion of Canada would be a horrible idea unless your backed up by a really good military. I mean if you was to invade Canada you would have the complete brute force of the US rain down on you. We can just roll tanks in since Canada is connected. Our planes don't have to go far since Canada is next door. We can easily surround Canada with ships and submarines cutting off your supply of fuel, food and munitions to your army. Also seeing as Canada is next door we can just shoot ballistic missiles right over and we get to use our Home defenses against you seeing as your close. It would be costly to try and fight off the complete brute force of the US military. Even if you had a very good and efficient army invading Canada. As far as I know theres no army none today that can meet the demands to do a invasion of Canada and it be succesful.

We were not safe before 9/11, we aren't safe after it.

The only difference is, we now have more countries and millions of people more who hate us.

America has prevented attacks on home soil since 9/11 - despite high terrorist activity in other parts of the world - including Europe. Measured by the number of attacks (the only objective way of looking at it), you are in fact safer now than before (not to say you are in some way immune).

The EU is much more vulnerable, having outsourced its military spending to America. Also we have a pending demographic crisis here, of which nobody dares to speak because it makes you "Islamophobic" (which is the stupidest word I've ever heard of).

America still has some of that healthy vigilance, a basic survival instinct and a willingness to fight. That is almost all gone in Europe, having mired itself in a destructive form of political correctness. Of course that American vigilance sometimes takes the form of irrationality - overzealous patriotism - but at least IT'S THERE. Even if America is attacked again, unlike in Europe there would at least be a WILL to hit back.

You haven't explained how Americans are safer in a post-9/11 world.

Care to explain?

Europeans have realised that "hitting back" militarily like a toddler after a terrorist attack is extremely counter-productive. It's hilarious you still believe in this bullshit even now, after Iraq and Afghanistan.
