my mom used to smoke and i used to always try and get her cigs and flush em or hide them.. but i would always get caught. but in the end she quit. so you just have to leave it alone and let her stop on her own.

That's horrible. You should really talk with your mom. Tell her that you know it's hard to quit, but it effects you a lot, and you'd like it if she made more of an effort.

I don't really know what to tell you since I'm in the same situation. Both my mom and my sister smoke and no matter what I do or say they just shrug it off or think I'm exaggerating. I was in tears once talking to my sister about smoking and they still aren't even thinking of quitting. My friend's mom died from smoking so it's always on the back of my mind that mine could be next. It's a scary thought.
I don't have asthma but cigarettes make me sick to my stomach and give me major headaches. In the end it is YOUR health she's effecting and you have to keep letting her know that. It isn't fair to you.
But you also have to understand it's not something she can quit over night. She needs time. Maybe buy her nicorette gum or patches to push her in the right direction? I know that's what I'm about to do pretty soon. It's gotten pretty ridiculous.

as horrible as it is, you should realize tha ur mom is just weak. cigarettes are not easy to stop. im trying to quit, and ive only gone 6 hours and im about to snap. just ask her to keep trying.
