i don't have the balls to tell my parents/do anything about it but i have a friend studying psycology who diagnosed me with clinical depression. idk if it counts.

I wouldn't rely on their diagnosis. For one thing, they're studying, they don't have a doctorate's. They're also probably too close to the problem, as your friend. They're probably not looking at it objectively enough.

That seems very cynical and pessimistic. I'm lead to believe state- and province-paid doctors are generally reliable, and I doubt pharmaceutical companies have that much influence.
