What do you think of the RedWall books by Brian Jacques? when I was younger I loved the show and I always wanted to read the books, But never got around to it. Yesterday i was at the Book Debot ( like a where house, so the books are cheaper) and they had a few for $5.00 each instead of $11.95 which it would normally be ( says the price on the back of the book) So anyway I just started reading one today and thought I would ask you guys your opinion on them.

I read the first one, entertaining but predictable.

Because they are repetitive?

Same old character molds, same old plot ("THE EBIL VERMINZ ARE ATTACKING SALAMANDERSATRONAEZ!"), same old bullshit.

Jacques has never heard of pushing the envelope.

Yeah basically.

They were good books when I was a kid. Once I got older though they just got boring.
