practice, start doing drills, if you have never watched the movie about pistiol pete mavridge( not sur ehow to spell it) you need to it has some great drills and inspiration. he was an 8th grader who started varsity. he had real talent. but shoot so many shots a day, and practice defensive drills and such.

How tall is 'super tall'? Shoot a lot. Free throws until you can regularly pop 15-20 in a row. Run. Carry a ball with you and dribble everywhere you go.

Jsut because you're tall doesn't mean that you can play ball. What kind of skills do you have, how much experience do you have, how many players are ahead of you in the depth chart. If all you got is height and "raw talent," I doubt that you're going to make varsity unless you are from a small school with no serious ballers, or your mom is athletic director.
