I personally don't buy any of the leading theories.  I just think Bush had his reasons, as screwed up as they were.

Really, there are very few people in the world who know that. I struggle to come to any logical reason. Until recently, I don't know if its still the case, Iraq was producing less oil than under Saddam and many of the oil lobbists advised Bush not to invade.  Maybe just to have more of a foothold in the middle east, but it would be an expensive (in all ways) manner of doing that.
