The creator of this contest has not replied to any of the questions submitted, and he refuses to answer any of the numerous messages I have sent him regarding this contest.

He also has not specified where the points donated to this contest will be going. It sounds like he is trying to fund himself.

If the moderator's could look into this, i'd appreciate it.

I had make a wish foundation give me shopping spree at compuse back in 9th grade :D

I still want to know who these donated points are going to.

MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION
If this is chosen I will personally donate $100.

Again, I still want to know who these points are going to... The top contributor?

That's what I was wondering. If it was going to the top contributor, and the money was not going into the member's personal account... I would be willing to donate a large amount if the charity selected is one that I believe in. Regardless if I were to win, it'd be a great way to raise money.

Thanks...

It's just hard to trust a member who won't reply to any of your messages, uses his personal account to collect the funds, and has not announced how the points will be distributed.

He's a well known member and it's kind of hard to see him do something like that to you guys...

He did give somewhat an update on the situation but it was a couple of months ago;

I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt, but I know what lengths some people will go through on here for points and especially money.

It just gets fishy when he won't reply to any messages that have been sent to him and has not responded to any questions asked in the contest topic.

The points are not going directly to him.

If the contest was to get canceled by the contest manager, all the points would go back to those that have donated.

I do not see how he's directly benefiting from this.

The whole part where all the money donated is going into his personal account.

won't reply to any of your messages

won't reply to any messages that have been sent to him
well, there is the fact that the topic was made 391 days ago, he hasn't posted in any topic in 51 days, and he hasn't logged on in 8 days, so maybe "not replying to any of the questions submitted" and "refuses to answer any of the numerous messages I have sent him" really mean "hasn't read any new messages or posts"  or "thought your messages and posts weren't urgent enough to respond to in the few minutes he's spent online since."

David donated 100 points...
...who is that 100 gonna go to?

The 100 goes to nobody.

it's not a contest like you're thinking. a "contest" is just the only way one can give up points without actually allowing another member to use them. the contest manager will simply never distribute the points from it, which is possible.

[if] the money was not going into the member's personal account

uses his personal account to collect the funds

all the money donated is going into his personal account.

You can ban me if I keep the money for myself. Come on guys...do you seriously think I would go to all this trouble to maybe make $100? Its just $100. Thats not worth being banned over.

Well, not that it really means anything in the long run but I did set up an entire new PayPal account for this. Its still connected to my bank account and whatnot so its not much different from my main account.

You guys are going to have to trust me. I will do my best to publicly announce whenever a cash donation has been made so that when we do hit $100 everyone will know it and I will be then forced to prove (through screen shots or photographs) that I have indeed donated the $100 to the charity we chose.

The charity that will receive the money will be voted on by LiveWire. Now, we can do this now or we can do this once we raise the money. Either way we're still helping someone.

I will do everything in my power to prove that the money was indeed donated to the charity. Like I said earlier, $100 is hardly worth ruining my reputation for.

Hithere:

The messages I have sent him have been over the last 30 - 60 day's... He has read them.

I understand you are trying to defend this member... However there are methods to go about setting up donation accounts through payment processor's such as paypal. Where the money goes directly to a charity, and never touches anyones personal account.

People do lie.

In the very least, he did not think this one through. It was a great idea, but with the contest coming to a conclusion. Member's want answers.

All I asked is that the mod's check into it, which they are doing.
