Actually, the scarring ones really aren't funny either. I tend to be the only person that thinks they're remotely funny, just because I know the complete extent of a drunken crazy woman that my mother usually is.

My mom can barely hear me when I talk normally to her face to face. There's no way she could hear me if I shouted through a door while the shower was running. Which kinda makes it more tempting...

My step-mother used to text my cell when dinner was ready, instead of walking to my room. Of course, with the delay, I would be late for dinner, and be out $0.15 for the text.
