As the title states, what do you want to accomplish in your 60-100 years you have on this planet? And if you can come up with an answer, what does it amount to? And what will that amount to? Won't we all die in the end? Well here's my take on it (I'd rather you answer without reading my own philosophy first, but hey your choice) Life is basically a series of loose ends that pretty much won't come together in one's life. It's what a person leaves (read: contributes) to the world to 'tie up' those loose ends after he has passed on that really matters. Although, that would mean we live in a perpetual pyramid scheme of a growing amount of problems and whatnot. Like we're creating more than we can fix so we have something to do.

I want to defend the people who are happy with life, and I intend to die so in their service as a millitary man.
------- In a world which abandons you there is a bittersweet blessing. You learn to live without others; to stand alone.

I want to be able to leave some sort of mark on society, do something that will benefit others, even if I am made miserable in the process. I think in the long run that is better than being content throughout your life.

I think I'm seeing a common trend here: 'To help other people enjoy their own lives, and therein enabling me to enjoy my own' Now I don't want to make anybody question themselves, because the last thing I want to do is make someone else feel as if their life philosophy is inadequate, but I just want to ask: Do you think a purpose that we all share as human beings is to serve as beneficiaries to those around us, therefore benefiting from the overall improvement in our environment? I feel like most, if not all of us, harbor some sort of interpretation of this so-called purpose. We really only will do something if someone will benefit (namely the doer, but more often than not that enjoyment carries over to other people.) What I can't understand, however, is what drives us to seek out this experience in the first place..of course, it is natural instinct to be happy and content, but as sentient, thinking beings, ask yourselves, what greater purpose emits this sense of happiness?
