Malicon (boardwalk I think) sounds a lot like maricon (faggot).
Same language, though.

Related to embarazada, I thought pregunta meant pregnant the first time I saw it in print.  Spoken I had never mixed up the word.

Embarasada en espanol means is an adjective meaning pregnant.  Lots of spanish students accidentally use it for embarrassed.

I don't like using numbers when I'm transliterating for people who don't speak any Arabic. The idea of a 3, 7, or 9 making any sound other than "three," "seven," or "nine" is preposterous to them.
