all the while, the song that was playing was an Evanescence song.

now, i was with my best friend, and we were listening to his iPod, and he really likes 'bring me to life'. so he put it on. and i tried not to cry, and my heart started beating a million miles an hour.

and he asked why.

and i told him 'bad association'.

and he asked what.

i told him i'd tell him soon enough.

...how do i explain that?
will he think that crying for that reason is stupid?
will he get mad at me for ruining one of his favorite songs for him?

But no he won't think you're weird for crying.

He just won't play it anymore.

and how would telling someone something about your own personal life going to affect the song they like listening to?

He shouldn't think it's stupid to cry for that reason. If he does, he's a jerk.

He most likely won't get mad for you telling him that his favorite song makes you think of something bad.
