my gf wants me to tell her when I'm going to spend time with anyone else. any of my friends. i never have told her before. i would always say i was doing something else. i did that because i didn't want to hurt her but in the end it hurt her anyway. how do i do it? how do i tell the person i love that I'm going to have dinner or go to the mall with someone else? and that i would enjoy it. and that its ok to have friends. it hurts me so much when she spends time with anyone else.

nothing is wrong with spending time with friends. tell her who you're with, like "yeah im going to grab dinner with john and mark", but if she needs any more info than that.....eh, she might be obsessive.

I don't think you should have had to lie in the first place, there's nothing wrong with having friends.

Godness, she sounds a bit over protective of you. Tell her that you need your own freedom.

Wow you two have some serious issues.

Hey guess what, you don't have to spend every waking minute with your girlfriend, you're allowed to have other friends, and have a life outside her.

And don't lie about where you're going and what you're doing because that will just make everything 100 times worse. Not only will it make her upset when she finds out the truth but she will continue to have zero trust in you. You need trust for a relationship and all you're doing it destroying it by lying to her all the time.

It's very simpe.. you just tell her that you're hanging out with so and so friend at such and such place tonight.

It shouldn't hurt you either if she wants to hang out with other people. At the end of the day you have to trust her that she won't do anything stupid. You should give her the same exact freedom you want.
