i had my very first pap smear today.
cried all through it...
it wasn't that bad... but i felt violated and traumatized afterward...
anyone else have a similar experience?

I can never understand why everyone thinks they're so bad. Yeah, it hurts. I even bled for a while after. But it's your doctor, not some guy on the street, why is it such a huge deal?

Yes, I was like 12 when i had my first one. Mom never told my dad but i was going thru Puberty and didnt like a male doctor touching me there, as if he liked it, made me feel wierd. COLD FINGERS AND THAT METAL DEVICE, BRRR!

Just remember, us guys have to get prostate exams and screens for colon cancer, we have things shoved up our asses as well here too.
