Okay, here is the deal. I am trying to connect my computer with a 330 Speedtouch modem for broadband. Yes, it is a retarded USB ADSL modem.

I use broadband.

I have installed the drivers, but when i plug it in and try to connect, it says it cant make the connection, and asks me to check the cable etc. which I have done and that is all how it should be. so WHY wont it connecty?

All I can thing is that it may be because my computer is currently set up for wireless, so how do I change the settings so it will work with the USB modem?

you wouldn't need to change that.. if there's no wireless available then the computer should automatically connect to whatever other option he has

i am no tech person, but have u tried resetting the computer? i think sometimes after u install things you should reset it.

go into network connections, go properties of ur network connection, click tcp/ip and click properties. make sure it is set to obtain ip address and DNS server address automatically, click repair on the connection if needed

I am generally alright with computers when i have the time to sit and fiddle n click n push buttons an experiment and stuff. anything beyond that is way way out f my reach.
