When I first started Miss Bates' class I didn't really like her all that much. I suppose because like me, she has very high standards, and so when something isn't good enough, she WILL let you know. She doesn't do this publically, instead she'll write notes on your essays/homework. I went through a phase of having these high standards, but not believing that I could achieve them. I guess it's because I took her comments too personally, and thought I'd failed alltogether. When really, she was just giving constructive criticism, which wasn't all that bad. As we're now approaching the end of the school year, we've both sort of lightened up a bit, which is great. She gives more positive comments, and so my work must be getting better. And yesterday I was at her revision class, and she didn't force me to talk or anything. I'm actually really shy, and get nervous when doing that, so I was very happy. All is good
