as long as u can leave, if ur having survery ur body is going to have to deal with fighting infections etc, so u dont want it to be having to process other toxins and drugs ontop of everything else

Well assuming you don't get knocked the fuck out every time you smoke, there isn't really a need to quit right before surgery. They aren't going to test you or anything.

I can't imagine it has any affect on surgery, but just to be cautious I would say lay off the weed for a day or so, at least 24 hours prior.
