she came back from being outside last night and her whole head is swollen and up by her eyes is red not like blood but like you have a rash or something.shes eating and drinking and acting normal for the most part. her head is just really swollen and shes sleeping a tad more than usual.

my mom thinks somebody abused her or something but if they had hit her so hard in her head that it was swollen wouldnt there be blood?

i think she got into something poisonous or a snake bit her (i think my dog found a snake outside a few nights ago she saw something that made her run and drag me along with the leash)

does anybody have any clue what could have happened to my cat?

my mom doesnt have the money to take her to a vet i need suggestions

It could be a number of things, really. But you should really consider taking it the vet, just to be sure. Yes, she may be eating and acting normal yet- but it wouldn't hurt.

She probably got bit by something.  I'm not sure how much benadryl you can give to cats, but google it.

Your best bet is to take her to the vet.  They will most likely just give her an antihistamine shot and then give you some pills to give her.

found this on benadryl-

"In cats, diphenhydramine is dosed at 0.25 to 0.5 mg per pound (0.5 to 1 mg/kg) PO every 12 hours but it has a bitter taste. "

PO means "by mouth".  You really shouldnt give your cat benadryl without asking your vet about it first, BUT if your cat is not able to breath due to her throat or nares swelling, you could use it in a pinch.

It also says that the benadryl can cause profuse drooling, so if you do give it, dont freak out over some drooling.

again, you really should call your vet first.

there are always vets around that will consider your financial situation and treat your cat for a a low cost or for free.
