I'm so so sorry for your loss. I can't think of anything harder than losing someone you love in such a violent way. It's terrible and I really feel for you. I hate to sound cruel and say this. But she's beyond your help right now. Nobody can help her right now. But knowing how much she loved you, do you really think she would want to see you like this? She lost her life, but you're still alive. Treasure the gift of being able to live. And take care of yourself as much as you can. Firstly, make sure you're eating right. Lots of fruits and veggies and protein to stay strong. And exercising as well. You sleep much better when you're taking care of your body properly. Mourning is both physically and mentally exhausting. It takes even more of a toll when you don't take care of yourself. She would want to see you healthy.
Moving on is hard. But you have to try to move forward with your life. It's okay to cry and okay to miss her. It's okay to get really pissed. That's all natural. But you can't let yourself die with her. Make sure you're getting up and going to work or school and going out with friends. Just like it's okay to miss her, it's okay to be happy too. Don't feel guilty for living your life. I really believe she would want that for you too. It gets...kind of easier. Your world stops revolving around the loss. It will no longer dominate your mind one day. You will move on. Please believe me.
I encourage you to stay in touch with her family. Hopefully they'll talk to the police and her killer will be caught and placed in jail where he belongs. Have they looked into that?
Please, feel better. It will get better.
