Aww. The poor dog. I would never shock a dog.

Sometimes you have to. It doesn't just control their bark or anything it can control things like how far they can go and if they pass a certain like outside then they'll get shocked. They get used to it and know their boundaries, and eventually get the collar taken off. It's sad because it hurts them but they DO learn from it..

It doesn't hurt them unless you are using an extremely powerful collar on a dog it isn't meant for.
Most people who know how to use them never have to turn them up beyond mid-level. And many 'shock' collars are only called that because they get the dog's attention, not because they shock them as if they put a fork in an outlet. Many are nothing more than a slight vibration on a pressure point.

However, those invisible fences are not safe. If a dog charges through the barrier, it often has a hard time getting back through without feeling their collar go off. They don't want to come back in, but it's easy to bust right through those.

wtf... ur dog has a shock colour... that is horrible

My cousins dogs have shock collars.
I don't really agree with it, but its the only way they can keep them in the grounds of their land :/
Like, they used to escape through the fence, and theres a road near, so theres a thing connected to the fence that if they try to get close to it the collar will shock them.
Hmmm.
