Is it wise to take on a second major?

I saw the "Better 2nd major?" thread and it made me wonder if taking on a second major is a good idea. I'd think having one major is hard enough... but a second?

The reason I ask is, I've wondered whether to take a second major also. I solely put down Linguistics, but I don't think a degree in that is going to of any use without something like Computer Science to complement it for a career.

So how much harder work is a second major? Or is minoring in something a better way?

That really doesn't answer the question.

I don't know how much of a challenge a second major is.

since I was a little kid I said mine were nuclear physiology, bio-chemistry to complement it and then music and circus arts so I have four that I am going to do interesting huh I think you should take on something to complement your first.
