It depends who I am talking to.
Sometimes it is just easier to chat it out, rather than do a load of texts just to find something out.
But if I don't know the person to well, I prefer text.

same. The only exception I can think of is if I'm on my way to meet someone and they want to contact me to ask if Im nearly there or whatever, then phoning is ok.

I do perhaps 5-6 text messages a day.  They are good for emergencies and ease of staying in touch.  They have become an obsession, hobby and a toy to most that use them.  I don't have time for it.
