Sorry that took so long. The tutorial i wrote was for linux. So ill give you the best way I will tell you the best way i found to do it. I personaly partition everything, so nothing can be left. what you do is aslong as u still have the windows installer disk, google linux, and find a free download of linux, that will fit on a cd. it should be in an .iso format. then place the cd in your computer, and shut down. when you reboot your computer, F12 - F2- or DEL will bring up a boot menu, to pick the device. choose your cd drive. Go through the options, and you install linux. linux will partition your hard drive, and everything will be gone. then insert your windows install disk and repeat the process. it will also partition everything. and reinstall windows. this process formats your hard drive 2 times, and i have found it to be the most efficient partition.

Pretty much the most easy thing to do. Insert your recovery disks if you bought the computer (Dell, HP, Compaq, etc.) or if its custom insert the CD and change the BIOS settings to make the first boot device to the CD ROM drive and then boot from the CD. Once you boot the CD just follow the directions in the Windows setup. If you still need help ask me, I'll go in way more detail for you.
