What things you do excel at? Do you write, paint, draw, play an instrument? In all honesty, when you are depressed this is a great time to express yourself in the things you are good at. People like Kahlo or Dickinson, for instance, did as well and many of us who've been there can identify with what they wrote/painted. Depression is a great way to connect to others as well as it teaches you to appreciate people who can be there for you and help you be there for them when they need it. Exactly. Sometimes, I go to the gym and will run an hour. It's amazing how much that helps as well. tk

i'd say cry, crying usually helps, its ok to cry and if you can have someone with you when you do it, someone to talk to and to tell you its ok. This really helps.

well,i've only felt that bad twice, the first time i tried to kill myself, it was a huge mistake, luckily i failed. now if i start feeling like that, i eat, go for a walk, see mates, anythnig to take my mind off what's getting me down :)
