i would say me & my boyfriend are almost equal. he's a gentleman though, so he usually pays, and he drives more often merely because it makes more sense for him to (although i'll drive too). but we make mutual decisions.

That is something I don't understand about relationships.  It seems to have everything revolving around women: guys being a girl's walking ATM, her personal taxi, her free meals, her free movies, etc.  I mean, it's a tradition that is hard to change and couples seem to be fine about it.  So yeah, whatever rocks your boat.  But for me, it just doesn't make sense to be paying for companionship pretty much.

It is a bit difficult to have a girl offer as much as what the guy contributes to a relationship not only when it comes to money but when it comes to other areas of the relationship.  But if you are fine with the traditions then go for it and enjoy, whatever rocks your boat.  Guys seem to enjoy doing it all, cool, but for me, personally, it doesn't make sense.  

it would just be nice to have it 50/50 though. it doesn't have to be all the time. i don't mind paying for the both of us but every time is a bank breaker. i should just withdraw all the money out of my account and give it to her or something.
