High school friends are my closest friends. I make new close friends in college and at work as well.

My best friend recently died back in January of this year, I knew him since 1st grade. He attended a Community College (was going to graduate in June of this year,) and was going to transfer over to the University I attend this Fall. My girlfriend Julie, we grew up together as well and were friends throughout High School, we just recently started dating. She goes to the same College I attend. So yea, my girlfriend now. That's it.
------- Rest in peace to my best friend Joshua of 17 years, born Nov. 20, 1986, passed away Jan. 14, 2008. I'll see you soon in Heaven, love you. RIP to my baby brother, born Dec. 16th, 2007 passed away Dec. 14th, 2008. I'll always love you.

Honestly, you will not be as close with all them as you are now. However, when you all get back together it makes your time together really exciting to get to catch up on everyone's lives.

there are times when you just have to let go of those you love. everyone's finally going off on their own, so it'll be hard to keep in touch with high school buddies while working toward a successful career. nevertheless, this is not impossible. there are people who, similar to your situation, have remained best friends for ever and some change. if you're really worried about losing your friends, then just try working hard toward keeping in touch. phone numbers, e-mails, instant messaging, and other technical utilities help solve this problem. i truly understand where you're coming from, for i am also a soon-to-be high school graduate. i go into college this September as a freshmen, thrilled of the experiences that lie ahead, rather than the fun i've left behind. just try looking at things from a completely different perspective. i wish you the best of luck
------- Ohhh, my, my. Oh, hell, yes.
