Back when I was in high school, our teachers used something called Basmati to post our grades online. They'd include every single little detail of what went into my grade (like how many points I got on every assignment, test, etc.). They were required by my school to update them at least once every two weeks; most teachers updated it weekly on everyday Friday. I actually liked having my grades online because it made it a whole lot easier for me to figure out what I needed to do to improve them. Then again, my parents rarely ever looked at them except when the report cards came around. I'd imagine online grades would be a nightmare if you got control freaks for parents.
