Normally in band, the saxophones get lamed part so we have to shut up so we can hear the flutes or trumpets.

But now...we get all the hard melodies in our spring concert music, and our band director told us to get louder. So we did. And louder. And louder. And he kept telling us to get louder.

It was so fun. And he actually told the flutes to shut up so we could be heard.

Me and Rachel, my fellow saxophoner band geek, were so excited. We yelled about it the whole time.

Don't worry, I'm a band geek too, and there is only one saxaphone in my band.. we are tiny, but me and my bass buddy have to be louder, I'm the bass clarinet, and he is bari sax. YAY us!! but for us, one minute we are too quiet, the next we are too loud, it is confusing.

Ahh! I always LOVED that! Best feeling ever, I swear. And in a couple songs, I play with the other saxes (I play bari) and we all have the same melody and we just play really loud. It's great!
