sometimes when i start maple, my keyboard (microsoft wireless keyboard 700) stops working, so i reset the computer to get it to work again. this happened a few days ago, so i reset my computer. when i tried to start maple again, though, it just reset my computer after the gameguard authentication came up. any idea what's wrong?

I know you made this topic a while ago, but since no one has answered, and you haven't said that it is fix, I'll try to help.

First you will probably need to reinstall Mable Story to get it working again, after it has installed, try playing it again, since a reinstall could also have fixed the issue that made your keyboard stop working.

If your keyboard stops working again, shutdown your computer, and plug in a wired keyboard.  Then try to play it again, if the game stops working again just reinstall it again.
At this point the wired keyboard will probably still work where the wireless one stopped. If the wired one works, then either just play using that one, or if you really need a wireless one, pay a new one.

Tell me the results of trying these things.  If the wired keyboard stops working as well, I would probably need to ask a few questions about your computer.

If you have Vista ,Go to your start menu and right click Computer.
Choose properties which should be on the bottom.
Go to Device manager, it should be on the top left corner somewhere. Now, a whole list of things plugged into your computer show. Look for the one called 'USB Human Interface Device' or something that has a warning sign by it. (SHOULD BE UNDER HUMAN INTERFACE DEVICES) (Yellow Triangle with a ! in it) Right click that and press Update Driver Software. After that, click Browse my computer for software. On the bottom, click 'Let me choose from a list of drivers on my computer or something, and in the box click the USB Human Interface Device. Then it should be fixed, but if you have XP it might be different. Idk because I haven't used XP in two years. I know this because when I play Combat Arms and then MS right after, it shuts down my keyboard too. Hope this helps! If this ever happens to you again, which it probably will, refer to my post ^^
