Alchohol problem

I'm a big guy, well over 200lbs (not fat, 6'6") and thus had a pretty good natural alcohol tolerance. Even when I just started drinking I could drink a bottle of Captain Morgan's in less than 2 hours and not be very drunk.

About a month ago I drank a lot, and actually got to the point where i threw up. My bad. But since then if I even catch a wiff of alcohol I get nauseous. If I take one sip of rum, whiskey, gin, or whatever I get instantly nauseous. I can still drink beer, wine, or port just fine. Anyone have any experience with this/know how I might correct it?

Have you tried switching away from the alcohol that made you sick?

Otherwise, wait it out.
It's called taste aversion....it's your body's way of protecting you from poison.  Purely evolutionary reflex.

Ah gotcha, I figured it was something like that. Any idea how long that might be?

It is different for everyone.

As I said before, drinking something besides the specific alcohol that made you sick may work.  Pick something drastically different.  For example, if it was Captain, try beer or wine.

Kind of a natural reflex your body makes. I've had similar problems after being anesthesized for a surgery. Any strong smell made me feel sick to my stomach.

Shouldn't last longer than a week, however, alcohol poisoning is quite possible so I'd check in with a doctor. Just to be on the safe side.

Going with everyone on the natural reflex type-thing.
So just try something else, or wait it out.
Vodka and Tequilla did it to me.
But it was better soon enough.
