I'm a big guy, well over 200lbs (not fat, 6'6") and thus had a pretty good natural alcohol tolerance. Even when I just started drinking I could drink a bottle of Captain Morgan's in less than 2 hours and not be very drunk.
About a month ago I drank a lot, and actually got to the point where i threw up. My bad. But since then if I even catch a wiff of alcohol I get nauseous. If I take one sip of rum, whiskey, gin, or whatever I get instantly nauseous. I can still drink beer, wine, or port just fine. Anyone have any experience with this/know how I might correct it?

Otherwise, wait it out. It's called taste aversion....it's your body's way of protecting you from poison. Purely evolutionary reflex.

It is different for everyone.
As I said before, drinking something besides the specific alcohol that made you sick may work. Pick something drastically different. For example, if it was Captain, try beer or wine.

Kind of a natural reflex your body makes. I've had similar problems after being anesthesized for a surgery. Any strong smell made me feel sick to my stomach.
Shouldn't last longer than a week, however, alcohol poisoning is quite possible so I'd check in with a doctor. Just to be on the safe side.

Going with everyone on the natural reflex type-thing. So just try something else, or wait it out. Vodka and Tequilla did it to me. But it was better soon enough.
