I'm in a band and I'm told I have terrible stage presence.
I need ideas on how to make it better, what to do, how to act.
I am a girl, and the band plays rock, punk, ska and some acoustic stuff sometimes.
hellllpp!

I have the same problem! Are you nervous onstage?

Be natural. If you're the singer, make sure to be engaging with the audience while you're singing and pay attention to what the rest of the band is doing all the time.

Woah yeah I'm the singer.  Pretty dumb not to include that.  I get nervous but I don't think that's why I am such.  Maybe fear of moving so much that it will mess up my singing? I have OCD, fun times.

Haha, yeah sounds like it. I guess it takes a big screw-up to make you feel comfortable. I was playing a gig one time (I play the guitar and sing) and I dropped my pick in the middle of a song and had to stop and pick it up. It was terrible...but I was a lot more comfortable afterwards, and the audience was too. Try and be on the same level as your audience, I guess. Keep in ind that they're just people too...and that it doesn't really matter what they think, just how you feel about your performance.

im a singer too and i used to have rele bad stage presence. you should have someone tape your band performing or practice in front of a mirror to see what you look like. moving wont mess up your singing  it'll only engage the audience more and you will have fun. try it infront of a smal audience and see how it works
