yea i never really understood how this works... I thought auto trannies shifted based fluid pressure in the valve body...
   anyone got an answer?

They used to, but now the computer tells the solenoid when to shift and in trucks/suv's that have a tow mode it delays shifts as long as possible. Autostick gives you limited control over when it shifts to let you feel like it is a manual. But it's typically a second or two delay.

In other words auto became to hard for some people, so they made it even more automatic.

Actually they made the automatic more efficient and have less movable parts to break.

I'm scarred that your a "jr. tech", I'm still thinking detailer

I doubt detailer... more like dryer.
