most people with serious drug addictions have bad lives (not much money/in debt, live in a bad neighbourhood, not healthy or happy etc... which do you think causes which in most cases?
the unhappy life causes them to take drugs

I'm not going to lie, I love cocaine.
I do it often- I smoke weed regularly, I do 'E occasionally. & some other shit that is better left unsaid. I pay my bills. I have money. I NEVER miss work. I'm independent. I'm going to start college in May. Yeah... I'm VERY happy.

It just different for everyone. Personally, the person I know who was addicted to drugs at some point took them to get rid of pains that they had in their stomach. They took heroin and forgot everything...it made them not feel so sick.

I believe it is more of the drugs causing the lifestyle, majority of people that are unhappy do not turn to drugs.

Generally, I'd say addicts are mostly poor, unhealthy and unhappy because of the drug addiction, because that's what a drug addiction will do to you most of the time. You spend all your money on it. It fucks up your health and causes depression while you're not on it. Meth addiction made me poor, underweight, sleep deprived, psychotic and very unhappy.

I know a few coke addicts that had wonderful lives before they started doing the drug. They just wanted to "see what it was like." Now they can't stop using it.

I was a drug adict, I had plenty of money cause I was a dealer, I live in a nice neighborhood, I was healthy until the drugs, & I was generaly happy.
My friends are all the same way, none of this applies to anyone in my group.
You got it all wrong.
