i understand in your life you managed to control it fine, but most can't, they obviously didn't have the personality or will power to be able to live like you do, but would have fine if it weren't for the drugs. so i think in a way your right

My friends are all the same way, none of this applies to anyone in my group.
You got it all wrong.
ok say 50% lead happy healthy lives, that doesn't completely cancel out every drug addict that doesn't. but you said you were healthy BEFORE the drugs, and i couldn't tell what you meant when you said you were happy, did you mean before or during the drugs?

Okay, let's get this straight: A lot of people don't live happy lives, regardless of a drug addiction... It has to do with not being paid enough at work, it has to do with a screwed up political system and asinine laws. What do you think makes people turn into drug addicts? The majority of users don't use as means for escaping, but for social/recreational use. Sorry, but what you just said above means your poll is extremely biased, so I am boycotting it.

some drug users are not the only people who are:
a) unhappy
b) unhealthy
c) poor
d) irresponsible
and etc. You fail to realize that this applies to humans in general, not only the ones who use drugs.
i completely understand that people can be those things, I'm not sure i described this very well.. the poll was about drug addicts who are them thing, the question, do you think the drugs caused the lifestyle, or do you think the lifestyle caused them to take drugs. obviously people can have that lifestyle and never touched drugs, and some addicts live completely happy normal lives. say you met an addict who was unhappy, poor etc, would you think he's unhappy etc because of the drugs, or do you think he turned to drugs because of his lifestyle
