I've been at my current job for a year, going on two, and I consider myself a good worker. A while back I remember everyone was trying to get promoted, and it basically was done based on seniority and leadership skills. I was going to get it, but my brother needed a job, so I got him in knowing that I couldn't get the promotion if he was there. I got him hired, and I didn't get it. I was upset for a while, but I got over it. That was a while back, now they're doing it again. A couple days ago a manager comes up to me and tells me that they will be throwing me leadership responsibilities. I sat and argued with them because I didn't want the responsibilities if I couldn't have the position. Now they tell me they can get around my brother being there and they want me to lead, basically. So now, my hopes are all up again and It's distracting me from working normally, like usual. And I don't know when they are gonna do this, but they talk about it to me.
They are fucking with my head because if for some reason I don't get this again, I will be pissed all over again.
